Build Your Immunity – Healthy Gut

With the Covid-19 spreading across the globe, there is widespread panic on the street and people are looking for remedies and ways to protect themselves from Covid-19.

I am one of you and looking for ways to protect my family and friends. I am not a medical expert but I do have some “medi sense” in me. I am reading quite a several articles and also tracking events around the globe looking for information regarding the behavior of the virus.

This is a general suggestion and what I follow to keep myself prepared to fight the virus. I have seen some success related to it for my family as well. In the last one year, we have not visited the doctor nor taken a medication. Yes, we had a bout of viral flu but we were up and moving after the first day. This gives me confidence that we have built a fair amount of immunity. Probably, T cells are doing their job very well!

From what, I read, the virus has an entry through the respiratory system and then at a later stage goes down the GUT path causing the inflammation to rise and result in possible pneumonia.

So, these are the 2 areas that I will focus on to ensure that even if we catch the virus, we get away with the mild effects.
From what I read, the virus resides in the Mucus of the nostrils, causing the inflammation (sneezing, cough). The epithelial cells are attacked causing further aggravation. The reason Pink Saltwater gargling is so effective is due to the process of Osmosis and ionic exchange. Read the article for a deeper understanding of throat gargling.

The second area that can be impacted is GUT. The GUT needs to be kept Alkaline (PH greater than 7). The best way to get your GUT alkaline is to have a diet of non-inflammatory food. Non Inflammatory food includes good quality turmeric, Ginger, Garlic. Maintaining a diet with Low Carb, Moderate Protein and including healthy FAT will maintain the alkaline nature of the GUT. NO processed food and ZERO sugar will cause the GUT to be alkaline. It is said that the GUT micro biome is altered every 3 days.

During the Quarantine Period and when you are at home, maintain a healthy diet. The rest of the other precautions like washing with soap all hold good.

Exposure to SUN for Vitamin D and maintaining a light exercise regime will ensure that your metabolism is maintained (refer to GEROPROTECTION). I can’t stress enough of maintaining a healthy sleep pattern.

Stay at Home and Stay Safe to weather out this turn. This too shall pass.
